We started Second Marathon in 2017 because as Operators we could not find the right support when it came to navigating supply chain and logistics. Our goal is to be that resource — to help you find solutions that meet your standards and allow you to scale.
Matt started Second Marathon after spending the first marathon of his career building and scaling complex supply chain operations as an early employee at Rent the Runway, Birchbox and Shyp. At RTR Matt was the 5th employee where he led warehouse operations. At Birchbox Matt was the first employee where he oversaw Supply Chain and helped the company scale from 500 monthly orders to 1 Million across 5 countries. Matt then moved to San Francisco to join Shyp where he led Business Development. Matt began his career at a hedge fund in New York, and is now living in Nashville.

Ryan has spent his career finding efficient ways to solve problems. After spending 4 years as a CPA he joined Venmo where he developed and led key internal functions including finance, customer support and recruiting. He rounded out his operational skill set by joining Everlane where he led supply chain operations, scaling inbound, outbound and reverse logistics and helped launch the company’s first retail stores.
